The Central California Men’s Fast Pitch Travel League is designed to offer teams within Central
California and other approved areas the opportunity to play in a highly competitive league.
SCHEDULE AND FACILITIES:
The Central California Men’s Fast Pitch Travel League games will be played on selected weekends from March to July. The selection of each weekend host site will be based on facilities and location. Travel League host sites shall be restricted to at least a four -- diamond complex that can handle each classification on a weekend. The Travel League Board will make the final selection.
UMPIRES AND FEES:
The CCASA UIC will be responsible for league umpires assignments. Two umpires per game per CCASA established rates. Umpires will be paid for forfeited games. The CCASA UIC will receive umpire fees two weeks prior to the event from the CCASA office. The CCASA UIC will be responsible to pay umpires for the weekends they work and provide the necessary paperwork to CCASA.
The CCASA UIC along with any Travel League Board Members will act as protest committee. Their decision shall be final and may be reviewed by the CCASA Commissioner if protest is filed. A protest fee of $25.00 must be filed at the time of the protest. Protest fee will be returned if the protest is upheld.
LEAGUE INSTRUCTIONS:
- League Play: Between “C” teams and Guest “C” Teams
- Based upon the amount of teams in the "C" classification, teams will play five (5) games each weekend over the five-month schedule unless otherwise scheduled. 20 to 25 games are projected with "No Playoffs".
- Travel League Director will provide each team, Site Host and CCASA UIC copies of the Travel League schedule or any changes.
- Insurance: All fields used must have ASA Field Owners Liability Insurance.
- Teams and players must sign the Player Waiver, Release of Liability and Indemnification Agreement before they can play. The form must be on file with the Travel League Director before the first weekend of Travel League play.
- Forfeit Fees: $50.00 per game with less than 15-day notice. Travel League Board may waive at their discretion. ASA suspension possible if fees are not paid.
- This Travel League is considered Championship Play with the winner and runner up receiving berths to ASA Nationals and PCR Regional, based upon ending Travel league standings. Teams must complete the schedule to obtain a berth.
EXCEPTION: If a third national berth becomes available a tournament may be conducted on the final weekend for those remaining teams not qualified.
- If there is a tie at the end of Travel League play.
ASA Article 510, RULES OF CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY, (D. Official Order of Finish Shall Be Used).
- Travel League 1st Place will receive the following:
- Entry Fee to ASA Nationals paid by CCASA
- National Championship Travel Money: $50.00 of Travel League fees from each team in the league.
- Provided the team attends the ASA National Championship Finals. (10 teams = $500.00)
- Individual player awards.
- End of Season Awards
- MVP of the League
- Pitcher of the Year
- Two ASA approved softballs will be provided by CCASA to the UIC for each game.
- CCASA 2005 Travel League Fees:
- Total fees for 2005 "C" Travel League will be $1650.00
- The 1st Payment - $300.00 deposit (Non-Refundable) due January 14, 2005
- The 2nd Payment - $675.00 due February 15, 2005
- The Final Payment - $675.00 due March 15, 2005

- April 16-17, 2005 Tulare, CA
- May 21-22, 2005 Paso Robles, CA
- June 25-26, 2005 Visalia, CA
- July 16-17, 2005 Tulare, CA
- Guest Teams
- Travel league play is open to outside guest teams as determined by the League Director. Teams will be allowed to participate on a given weekend with the approval of the Director. The win/loss record against these teams will be counted towards the league final standings.
