In Response to Ego Building...blah blah blah...
Everyone knew that teams were going to build up for the Nationals
because they were in California. It happens every time they are in this state. If other teams can't do a little homework and pick up the
right players to make their teams better, it's not the good teams fault and
if on paper a team meets the ASA rules and guidelines quit your damn crying.
All we have heard all year is crying about how teams are loaded
and how they are so much better than the others. Well guess what! You should be crying because you did not take the time to make your team
stronger and quit crying about the other teams that pick up players so they can compete at the National level.
Hello the idea is to win, our travel league is the strongest in California that's why I chose to
move from the Nor Cal travel league into the Central Coast travel league,
so we could face better teams before you get to the nationals in August and for the record Team Taylor as of April has no 'B' rated
players on its roster, not one.

In response to EGO Building and Smack
Every week I come to this site to read the latest on the happening in the
travel league. When did this become a platform for public crying? I cannot
believe the amount of crying being directed at one team. What makes the Painters unable to play in
"C" league? State the case you posters have against them, instead of whining about it each week. Every team in the
league had the opportunity to pick up players and it's their fault they picked up players and you did not. Why not complain about Team Taylor, how
many "B" players do they have? Maybe teams should build a team, instead of
trying to build it around one player. I do not play for the Painters but I
am not afraid or going to cry when I face them. I believe someone said a few posts ago that
"TO BE THE BEST.....YOU HAVE TO PLAY THE BEST", does that only go for good
teams or is someone being a hypocrite for not wanting to play the best, or is it you do not want to be the best, just the best of the
worst. Strap on your cleats, adjust your cup, and play ball.
Finally in the words of Tom Hanks....There's no crying in Baseball.

To all whiners:
It seems that everyone in this travel league is worried about what the
Savala Painters are doing. If you are going to put them on smack then you should tell the truth about them in Utah.
No, I don't play for them or even care what they do but lets be real about them. I heard that they picked up several players to help them compete at that
level, (2) ISC pitchers, Todd Budke. I really don't know why people talk about this team like they are invincible.
Maybe in this travel league. All teams have the same opportunity to pick up any players of the same caliber or even better.
No one complained last year when these players played for Silverhawks.
I believe that the people that write these comments are afraid of
competition, plus they don't even leave their names at the bottom of there statements.
That even tells me they are afraid. The best team does not always win the nationals, its a proven fact.
All travel league teams should want to play them. It might bring the best out of your team, plus if you have any plans on attending the
"C" Nationals look forward to several teams like them.

RUMORS/SMACK
EGO Building...
Hey did anyone else hear that one of our "C" travel league teams went to Utah this past weekend and participated in the Red Rock Invitational MAJOR/OPEN tournament? And not only did they participate, but they WON the tournament. They had 5 players on the ALL TOURNAMENT team, the TOURNAMENT MVP PLAYER, and the TOURNAMENT MVP PITCHER. I know that they short timed at least 2 teams, one in the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME against the So.Cal Bombers 11-3, who had Travis Price throwing for them.
Eleven runs when Travis Price is pitching is not bad for a "C" team.
Can anyone guess what "C" team this might be? You're right
SAVALA PAINTER'S - LONG BEACH. Does this sound like a "C" team to you...Hmmmmm. Oh well, I am sure that they will
be back to continue beating up on the legit "C" teams in our travel league.
Hope that builds their EGOS.

Response to: What has happened to the travel league?
No, this is not just the opinion of a biased player...it's the opinion of just about everyone in the entire league. There have been discussions between teams and whispers made in the dugouts, but that's about as far as this issue goes. I mean what are you to do?? REALLY! But since we're venting and sharing thoughts here...let me share my thoughts. And this goes directly to the SAVALA PAINTERS LB (yeah the one's getting in everyone's a$$). It just doesn't make sense to me why this team that is totally capable of playing B Ball would come into this league. Ok, so lets say you take the league...and lets even say you head to Stockton and take the Nationals...what have you accomplished then........NOTHING.
TO BE THE BEST.....YOU HAVE TO PLAY THE BEST

What has happened to the travel league?
Each year it seems more and more teams are stacking themselves with more talent than most teams can
even compete with. Now I don't mind competition when it is run on an even line, but competition that is as uneven as some of our
Travel League has become is ridiculous. Where does it make sense to take a
team that should be classified as "B" and put them against a team that is a "C" team without a doubt? If there is a classification system why
is it not being used here?
Does it not make sense to classify teams on
a level to where they will be playing other teams with the same talent level game after game? I don't mind losing to great teams, it isn't
the scores of the games that bother me because I realize we lost to a team that was far superior to us. Instead what I don't understand is
how are these teams in a "C" division when the entire world can see they should be no lower than a "B" division team with all of the talent
they possess. Why have a classification process at all if it isn't going to be followed or used to define what teams can play with who?
If there are going to be teams that strong in our league why not allow
every single team that talented to play in our league? Why not expand the travel league to 20 teams across the state and let any team
classified "A" through "C" join our league?
All I am saying is if you are a "B" player, or a "B" team why
would you not want to play against other players and teams on the same level as you? I have been on some good teams in my life and I dreaded
playing those games where the final score was going to be 20-2 because it was no fun for me. I don't see how this type of game could be fun
for either team participating. I know that if I had the talent to play at the "B" level I would do it without a second thought. I know my
team would also make the jump purely because of the love of competition.
What we have in this travel league isn't always
competition unfortunately. Instead it is a race to see what team can stack itself better than another and beat the smaller teams into the
ground. Who benefits from a league like that? In my opinion not one person benefits from that type of competition and the travel league
will continue to fade with respect to competition if this remains. But what do I know? I am just a baseball player with a biased opinion.

HERE WE
GO AGAIN...Classification
Well, here we go once again, players wanting to be declassified so they can load up for the National Tournament. Look at those who are asking to
be moved down and see who they are playing with. Funny that 5 of the players are trying to be moved down to play with 4 others that will not.
Thus giving them 9 "B" players on that team. It has nothing to do with the individuals ability, but the fact that we make rules and constantly change
them for a few.
Not one of these "B" players will deprived of a place to play, but will be
deprived from loading up one team. I keep hearing that I am a "B" player and cannot play in the "B" division, or that there is no "B" division.
Well, that is why a "C" team can pick up four, YES (4) "B" players on their team. As I see it, with 10 "C" teams this year that will allow forty (40)
of these "B" players a place to play. Most of them keep telling us that they only want to play the game they love, well then play with a weaker team
and play. I keep hearing this age bull ****, well most of the pitchers in the league are over 45 and there are still several players playing positions
that are over 45.
If you will look into your heart, you know that I am right. People trying
to be moved down so they can load up on one team. Everyone knew the rules, now live with them. But, if we are to change for a few, then change for all
and let the Lyons reform and play "C," after all they won the weak "C" National Qualifier and only finished 2nd in the Travel League.
I am sorry if this makes people mad, but every year it is the same, we make rules, move people up only to have a few appeal and move back down.
Enough said, so we shall see.
